About Dave Raybould

Hi there, so you’re interested in hearing a bit more about me, that’s nice.

Hmmm… where to start…

(I’ve embedded some videos of me riding at the bottom if you want to check those out)

The siteweb

I’m a Snowboard Instructor, I love Snowboarding, I love writing, and i’m interested in web design. Bam! “I’m gonna make a website”. So that was pretty much the thought process I went through about a year and a half ago. It took me a while to come up with the idea, it has progressed and changed a lot since then.

I knew absolutely nothing about web design when I started. I was interested, but clueless. I’m lucky enough to have a very knowledgable brother. He helped me out a lot in the beginning.

Me, in a nut shell

Snowboarding is my life. I’m a Level II BASI Snowboard Instructor and I travel the world chasing the endless winter (not an easy feat, trust me).

My Snowboard career started at the age of 22 when I completed an 11 Week Snowboard Instructor Course in Val D’Isere, France. I’ve since instructed in Vermont, California, Australia, and Austria.

I’ve done five seasons instructing and six seasons riding.

At the time of writing this I just got back from working in Austria, back to rainy England, it sucks. I left England in Nov 2007 and went around the world one and a half times (including a ten day trip from Australia to England and back).

Where I’ve been:

  • Val D’Isere, France – Jan 2005
  • Home in England – Apr 2005
  • Mount Snow, Vermont – Nov 2006
  • Home in England – May 2007
  • Northstar-at-Tahoe, California, USA - Nov 2007
  • Lake Powell, Arizona, USA - April 2008
  • Northstar-at-tahoe, California, USA - Nov 2008
  • Falls Creek, Victoria, Australia – May 2009
  • Kirchdorf, Austria – Dec 2009
  • Back to England – March 2010

Snowboarding is my creative outlet. There’s nothing better than charging around and switching my complicated brain off.

I teach students how to be creative and have fun. I jump a lot, spin a lot, fall a lot, and learn a lot.

I love this sport more than anything, I want to help you love it too.
